After graduating in 1944 Leninakan Art School named after Merkurov, was admitted to the Art College named after P. Terlemezyan in Yerevan. Continued his studies at the Art School at the Russian Academy of Arts (1947-1951). In 1951-1957 studied at the painting department of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Repin Academy of Fine Arts of the USSR in Leningrad. In 1957 excellently completed Academy. His graduation thesis was a composition of the colossal volume titled "House in his native land." Moved to Moscow, worked in the publishing house "Plakat”. It was a blissful time for Artsrunyan when his posters have flooded the streets of Moscow, this contributed to his becoming a well-known and popular painter and poster artist. In 1974 moved to Armenia and settled in Yerevan. In 1980-1990 years - a member of the Union of Artists, the chairman of the painting section of the Union of Artists of Armenia. Taught at the Yerevan Art College named after Terlemezyan, the Art Institute (now - National Academy of Fine Arts (Armenia)). In 1957, for the first time he participated in the All-Union Art Exhibition in Moscow. Later he participated in many collective exhibitions. In 1991-2004 had numerous solo exhibitions in several cities of Armenia and USSR-Yerevan, Etchmiadzin, Gyumri, Moscow and foreign countries, including France, UK, Spain, Iran, the United States, the Americas, Russia, Cyprus.
